Scenario: Do you have Attachments on your site that you would prefer not to be leaked to other sites? eg. You release something on your site, and say to your members this is for this site only, and then you find out it has been leaked to another site.
Normally you would not know which member leaked it, and then you lose the trust of your members because you have a member who leaks private attachments which were meant for your forum only.

Look no further because you have found the Attachment Patcher which will inject the users ID, IP and time they downloaded it into the file. Best of all, the user can hex edit the file, and they wont even know it has been patched!

The attachment patcher supports all file types and you can choose which file types to patch. However any plain text files like txt, cpp etc. should not be patched, as the patch information would be visible in the file.

I could have a use for this BUT what if I want to display the thumbnails and have a zip download link...is there anyway to do this?

Not currently, however if you want to show pictures then you might need to upload them another way as they will get zipped up if you choose that option.
- I don't plan on adding that feature just now, but in the future if I get more time I will look at getting it implemented.

ok, I think i figured it out on my own anyhow

now, is there a way for it to work on more then just the 1st Post in the thread? (I'll look but just wondering if you know....easier that way )

For the attachment patcher option. It works on all posts. However for the Patch and zip option, it currently only works on the 1st post.

I will add these to the feature request list for the next update.
